County Kerry

Known as “the Kingdom” Kerry has long been one of Ireland’s must visit counties. From Killarney to Dingle, the Ring of Kerry, to the Dingle Peninsula, Kerry has something to offer everyone. Southwest of the town of Killarney in Co. Kerry is an expanse of rugged, mountainous country, including the McGillycuddy's Reeks, the highest mountain range in Ireland. Nestled at the foothills of these mountains are the world-famous lakes of Killarney and here, where the mountains sweep down to the lake shores, lies Killarney National Park. The distinctive combination of mountains, lakes, woods and waterfalls under ever changing skies gives the area a special scenic beauty.
A circular loop that pairs overwhelming natural beauty with immersive heritage attractions, the Ring of Kerry is a jewel in the Kingdom of Kerry’s crown. Along this 179km route you will pass through vast glacial valleys, towns adored by comedy legends, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and along one of the most photographed coasts on the entire island.
The Dingle Peninsula or Corca Dhuibhne stretches 30 miles (48 kilometres) into the Atlantic Ocean from Ireland's south-west coast. One of the highlights of the Wild Atlantic Way, the Dingle Peninsula culminates in the Irish mainland's westernmost point. The coastline consists of steep sea-cliffs, broken by sandy beaches and it’s here where the land meets the ocean that Dingle's beauty truly reveals itself.
