Connemara Manor House is an eight-bedroom Edwardian country house, designed by the architect Sir Edwin Lutyens for Bruce Ismay, Chairman of the White Star Line who owned the Titanic. Bruce Ismay resided here from 1912 – 1937.
The lodge is situated in Connemara, along the Wild Atlantic Way and has spectacular sea, river and mountain views overlooking the Twelve Pins mountain range. The gardens were designed by the renowned Edwardian gardener Gertrude Jekyll and they overlook the Casla river, adding to the tranquillity and atmosphere of this very special place.
Accommodation
A property steeped in history and capable of accommodating up to 16 people. With eight bedrooms consisting of five double rooms, one triple and a twin room. Some of the double beds can be split into two single beds if required. The beautiful gardens offer a stunning location for weddings, family gatherings and special events

Location
A 35-minute drive along the coast road and you could be enjoying a day’s shopping in Galway, a harbour city on Galway’s west coast, or perhaps deciding which of the many wonderful restaurants to choose from. Enjoy a round of golf in Salthill or take in a spot of culture in one of the cities many museums. Don’t miss an evening’s entertainment enjoying a pint of Guinness and listening to live Irish folk music in the Galway pubs - it’s an essential part of your holiday in Ireland!
Local beaches include the famous Coral Strand just five minutes’ drive to Carraroe, a nearby village with pubs, cafes and local supermarkets, here you will find picturesque piers and secluded coves to sunbathe, swim or maybe fish for shrimp with the children.
Island hopping is a must when you visit Connemara. The Rossaveal Aran island ferry is a two-minute drive from the lodge. The trip takes approximately 40 minutes aboard the locally operated modern ferry - you can choose which of the three Aran islands to visit first.
