Killaghy Estate is situated on an estate of 200 acres. It has been lovingly restored in detail since 1995 and it’s a luxury rental for exclusive use by guests. It is centrally located in Ireland in the county of Tipperary located near the Kilkenny border. It is an ideal location to access many of the historic sites Ireland has to offer on a holiday vacation. Uniquely decorated with antique furniture with the added bonus of modern conveniences which is four star tourist approved (Irish Tourist Board). Killaghy Estate can accommodate 18 plus guests.
Accommodation
The main residence of the Castle sleeps 18+, with a total of 7 bedrooms: Each bedroom is unique in decor with its old world charm and every modern conveniences you could require. Cots are available on request.
Dining Room:
A separate dining room with a large table comfortably seats 16.
Kitchen:
The professional catering kitchen is equipped with fridges dishwasher gas hob electric ovens and stainless-steel work tops and all other catering utensils.
Lounge:
The lounge seats 16. It is furnished to ensure that guests can soak up the traditional atmosphere of the castle, with a large fireplace. An open turf fire is always burning during the winter months, providing guests with a warm and cosy ambience.
Location
Killaghy Estate is situated in a serene location, 300 yards from the rural village of Mullinahone. Tipperary seems to have been at one time a country that was the centre of ancient architecture as it is now flooded with castles and ancient building from the medieval and celtic collection of ruins at the Rock of Cashel which have sweeping pastoral views to Chair Castle which is an imposing 12th-century fortress sitting on an island in the River Suir.
There is a selection of pubs and shops in the nearby village of Mullinahone. The beautiful historic city of Kilkenny is a twenty minute drive away. The castle is within easy reach of airports and ferries. The location is perfect for touring the South East and South West of Ireland
