Narnia Dundrum is a newly built, stylish family holiday home offering every comfort in a secluded hideaway at Murlough Nature Reserve, one of Northern Ireland’s most beautiful areas. This private retreat, nestled in the heart of nature, sleeps 12 guests across three floors and two buildings. Just a mile from Dundrum village and minutes from the stunning Murlough Beach, the house provides complete privacy and a spectacular backdrop of the Mourne Mountains for the ultimate peaceful escape.
Accommodation
The property boasts six immaculately finished bedrooms, each with a unique en-suite bathroom. Three of these rooms are located upstairs with a choice of bath or shower, and the beds can be arranged as singles or doubles. Two further bedrooms are on the lower ground floor, including one with a king-size bed and walk-in en-suite shower. The sixth bedroom is located in the Bunk House across from the main house and features its own bathroom, located just adjacent to the cinema room with sofa beds.
The heart of the house features a fully equipped kitchen with an Everhot cooker, coffee machine, Smeg fridge, and two dishwashers, making it ideal for preparing family meals. The spacious dining area comfortably seats 12 guests, perfect for gathering together for mealtimes and socialising. Outside, you’ll find a sheltered courtyard with outdoor seating, a BBQ, and an outdoor fire, offering a lovely setting for alfresco dining. There’s also a bar area for casual drinks with 2 under-counter fridges. Dundrum village is a mile away and has 2 excellent places to eat: Mourne Seafood, a lively restaurant and The Bucks Head, a fine dining pub. In addition The Dundrum Inn is a traditional Irish pub with occasional live music. There are two excellent take-aways, the Squid Shack (owned by Mourne Seafood) and Scoper, a hot food bar, run by local chef, offering dishes which are made with fresh, seasonal local produce.
Designed for relaxation, Murlough Point offers multiple areas to chill including a cosy TV room, a quiet upstairs room with a desk, and a cinema room with a wide-screen TV and four sofas. The house also features a games room with table tennis and snooker, plus a sauna (available for an additional cost). Outside, you can unwind in the sheltered courtyard with outdoor seating and a fire pit, or enjoy the hot outdoor shower after a day on the nearby beach.

Location
The world famous Royal County Down golf course is 10 minutes from the house in Newcastle. There are also plenty of local parks nearby for walks, kayaking, sailing. The house is situated on a National Trust Nature Reserve and there is free access to residents. The main gates onto the reserve close at sunset and re-open in the morning. Our guests will be supplied with a key fob which will automatically open this gate out of hours. There is plenty of space to park at the house.
