Property Overview

Set on 11.5 acres of Ancient Land, steeped in history, this 400 year old sanctuary has been lovingly restored, seamlessly weaving together the charm of centuries past with contemporary comfort. A luxury beachfront property, close to Narin and Portnoo golf club, comprising 12 acres of private land including forest, orchards, and private beach access.

The estate grounds are large enough that you can experience unrivalled privacy, but small enough that you can enjoy their natural beauty within a stones throw of the house.

At Roisin House, it is possible to relax on the lawn, stroll through a forest, pick apples in an orchard, and walk barefoot along a sandy beach with private access; all within metres of each other.

Keep an eye out for our natural inhabitants too. Regular visitors include wild Irish hare, deer, birds of prey, and red squirrels.

Accommodation

A fully restored period property, set in its own grounds, boasting incredible privacy, including access to its own beach.

There are 5 large bedrooms (4 super king and one antique double), 2 ensuite bathrooms (one on the ground floor offering easier accessibility for those with additional needs), a main bathroom upstairs, and a washroom on the ground floor, excellent as a place to quickly shower after sea swimming or beach days.

The living room has large sliding double doors to the outside patio facing the shore, an open fire, and a fully integrated indoor / outdoor Bose sound system. There is a hand built stone BBQ area / fire-pit in the garden for sunny summer evenings.

A perfect place to entertain, the front reception room, with its large open fire and piano, connects to the main dining room with a 12-seater antique table, open fire, and French doors to the side garden and patio.

Location

Explore Donegal, the county that National Geographic voted the coolest place to visit on the planet. Spend a day offroad dirt biking around the mountains in one of Ireland’s most scenic counties. Take a guided walking tour across vibrant landscapes and nature reserves, conquer the peak of Mount Errigle, relax in a remote beachside Sauna, or walk among the clouds at Slieve League; the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Adventure for all the family is always close at hand.
